BABY BONUS & LARGE FAMILIES SUPPORT SCHEME TO BE REPLACED BY NEW S$62,000 SUPPORT PACKAGE PER CHILD

Singapore will replace the current Baby Bonus Scheme and Large Families Scheme with a new SG Child Support Package from 1 April 2027. Each eligible Singapore citizen child can receive up to S$62,000 in support from birth to age 17, regardless of birth order. This includes a S$10,000 Baby Gift, annual Child Credits, CDA grants and matching, and a S$10,000 post-secondary education top-up. With existing MediSave grants and Edusave top-ups, the total support could reach almost S$70,000 per child.
